We are Cees Bakker and Corina van der Laan, both born in The Netherlands and proud owners of Bakkers B&B.
Since our first visit to South Africa in 1998 we fell in love with this country, and in 2006 we decided to start our own Bed and Breakfast in Phalaborwa.
We know that many people would like to visit South Africa, but have their doubts becouse of the big unknown.... like driving on the left side, other languages, different currency, different food, what to do when you get sick, negative publicity about crime statistics etc..
It is exactly those people we would like to convince to visit this beautiful country, and enjoy its wonderful nature and wildlife.

With the World Soccer Tournament nearby (2010) it is important to secure your accommodation in time! Phalaborwa is a place where you can enjoy both the soccer and nature. Phalaborwa is the Gateway to the central part of the Kruger National Park and is only a 3 hours drive away from the Polokwane and Nelspruit stadiums which both will host several games. Because we don’t participate in the official “soccer - accommodation organisation” you don’t have to book “package deals” (accommodation with other things you maybe not interested in) resulting in the fact that your stay will be cheaper!
